Got to love squiding <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' /> The four I caught on saturday morning were caught on the daiwa jigs thats all I use these days love them . And they were caught on the Gold colour first time I used that colour and it was the biggest of the Daiwa jigs I think 3.5 as it was windy it was the only one I could get down . The squid in the last pic were caught on my old favourite Fire . I lost my big Gold one on monday morning <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> hope to get another two in this week <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' />

They were caught on the gold daiwa jig 2.5

Couldnt help myself just had to get another squid for the bait supply. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Got down to Bare Island around 04.00pm caught my first squid around maybe 04.30pm high tide around 06.30pm. squid took my gold daiwa jig . then it went quiet after that .just couldn't raise a tentacle that wasn't until latter <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':beer' /> I saw two familiar faces wallking over towards me . I thought they look very familar ? turned out to be Atonio & Paola <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> I met them both maybe a month back and they were fishing of the bridge Antonio was casting a soft plastic around I think and when I landed two squid I got talking to them both and couldnt help but to talk about squiding . If you are reading this post good to catch up with you both again . After giving Atonio some tips when I met Him last it was great to hear him today tell me He has since caught several squid . Just needs to buy his wife Paola a rod to also get into the squid. It wasnt until after high tide I hooked onto my second squid a smaller one but still a good one . It was only hanging by the tip of its tentacle and thats what I

got when it let go <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' /> The funny thing a few minutes latter Antonio hooked onto a squid just near the bridge .You wouldnt believe it was the squid I dropped with the missing tentacle <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' /> I was amazed that it hanged around were I dropped it as I thought they it would of been in a hurry to get out of that spot . And also Great to Meet you Peter I am sure you will see this post as you mentioned this Awsome site . Make sure you get some jigs and get down there and get into them. Send me a Pm when you join the site and let me know when you are heading out If I am free I will be keen to catch up .maybe you can bring me a bottle of your Home brew you were talking about to taste test while squiding <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Antonio's Squid <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> Congrats Mate getting two this arvo you are doing well .

That jig would look right at home in the 'Cross LOL.

I'm using mostly small green & browns now......outfished all the others including Pete Le Blanc ,I got 3 and they only got 2 between 3 of them!

Went out this morning for a quick two hour squid session leading up to high tide. Got one little Inker at around 11am then that was it . I was using the daiwa jig in the colour Fire 3.5 Two windy to get the jig down .Might have to add some heavier jigs to the tackle box for such windy conditions .
