Kilsong from Black Hole Rods reported today that out of 3 boats he knew that went out today only 1 squid.  Sounds like it might be close.

 

Clouds are obscuring the Sat images but it is warming slowly.  Probably miss Hyannis this year as the closing for the new boat has been delayed.  Sat images look good for RI and with the warmth coming later this week, who knows.  Newport is up to 46 today.  50 by Friday?  Bright moon with a late high tide and partly cloudy this weekend with reasonable winds.  Its days away, a lot can change.

According to the buoy's, woods hole is 49.  Newport is still only 47, and days like yesterday and today aren't helping.

Anyone know how the boat-ramps in Hyannis are looking? Any die-hard squidders yet? Any bow-riding lake boats yet?

 

(You can tell the pros from the amateurs, as all of the pros go out in lake boats, but could easily out fish any of us amatures.)

Went out. Nada. Zilch. But there was a ziplock bag floating in the water by the ramp. Not sure if it was fresh caught or someone's bait... https://ibb.co/frhDJn

Two charter boats found nothing today, However one boat found squid at the dock inside Haynnis Harbor. 

It is a matter of time.

They were in thick Saturday and Sunday morning was even better

You gys are killing me.  My boat is still stuck on land.  The power lift broke and they haven't fixed it yet.

 

I was hoping to make it there for this years run.

I hope they're still there this Friday... I was at the docks last Friday and caught only 2 in 1.5 hours... fished from about 9:30-11pm...

They're in the canal... i tried Saturday night... caught 6 in about 2 hours... so not thick... but they're there...
