Wow <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Pretty cool to see the forum go from one post every few weeks to a couple a day. Does anyone fish the Les Davis pier? I went twice and have gotten zilch and seen only one caught.

What would be even more cool is if we could find out where the squid are hiding...

Lights are critical, but skip the generators and get rid of the noise (yeah!), buy a submersible LED that runs all night on a car battery. Sucks everything into you like nothing you have seen before. I tried one of those submersible lights and didn't have much luck. I spent the night using it and didn't catch anything. A guy comes a long and sets up his big powerful overhead light and he starts catching squid right off the bat. I started catching too. I think my light was allowing shadows to be cast and it spooked the squid until the other light came online. More guess than proof.

Been a couple years since I went down to Pier 86 but I want to try again. Anyone know if there is electricity there still? If I remember right it's best to try a clear, no moon night on an incoming tide. Looks like tomorrow evening (Wednesday 11/16) might be a good one.

Went to Bremerton's Marina Friday (11/12), at about 8:00. Nasty night to be on the water. In an hour and a half, our two poles, and halogen, didn't bring in a single squid. Saw a handful at the surface, but no luck.

Fished the aquarium pier from 1:00AM to 5:30AM. 5 squid. Looks like late night ain't happening.

So if you guys are doing well, the reports I heard coming from Alki must have been correct! Seems like West Seattle is doing a little better so far this year!
