Decided to have my first fish for the year this morning.
Wasn't real hopeful as we have had consistent rain the past couple of months.
Got down the harbour around 7.00 am and left about 10.00 and as expected the water was very dirty from all the rain.
Started blind casting but no squid apart from a medium size one that came up and had a look at the jig but showed no real interest.
The lead weight fell out of my best jig so I was using a second choice jig.
On the way back to the car I ran in to Paul the Guru ( aka R U 12 MUG ).
Hope he had better luck than I did.
If the rain holds off and the tides are right I'll give it another go next weekend.
