69 is and has been good this year. I have my own sources for my info, as well as my own reports. Thanks tho. I understand you are trying to confuse people from finding out where with you 6*. You have told me this multiple times on the dock bc you get flustered by the competition. I remember earlier in the season when you were saying "wait till I find the guy who told everyone about 62/63... Im gonna have some words with him" Im not into that drama...

It would seem tide is a factor. Have been catching squid around the tide changes at different spots around waterfront park. Just have to be there when the squid move in and get busy.

Did really well even with a seal and a -3.4 low at 10:25PM consistent in depth was the key and keeping your jigs glow. #1 lol (naw not enough yet) they were on the small side but they are squid! and some jumbos nailed daytime squid at about 415 today ALL JUMBOS! Takin the next 2 weeks off!
Happy Thanksgiving all!

Pier 62/63 has been the most popular squid pier among the regulars for over 20 years, so everyone knows that place. It's only that there haven't been many people there in the past 3-4 years because squidding has been dead. Now with a lot of schools coming back, people are everywhere, so are squid.

Is it legal to make a buzz bomb into a squid jig? I'm guessing you would have to debarb & bend the treble hooks down a bit so the squid can get hooked easier like the regular jigs.

Spent 4 hours at edmonds again, caught 2 small ones. But old asian guys were probably landing 5 an hour. I had fun again, so I'll probably go squidding again this week!

Seems like your "real jig" didn't do that well? <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':oops' />

Haha, no ones jig was doing that well. I was using a squid candy jig, as opposed to the giant Fred Meyer one I used on Friday

Well, my first trip was similar. Bought two huge squid jigs from Fred Meyer and never used them again. Went to Seattle yesterday; soaked for an hour and got nothing, not even one squid.

In between the showers managed to get 5lbs in two days - Monday and Tuesday. Took a while though during the late night. The water around Seattle was murky with the outgoing tide. Still caught squid though. Pink and green jigs were doing the trick. Got some really nice jumbos too. When the tide came in with clear water things picked up. With the cold weather moving in and the snow in the mountains less crap should be flowing into the bay. Anyone hear anything about Redondo or Des Moines? They don't have to worry about river runoff. Was down in Tacoma and stopped by Les Davis pier. Not much action at the time. But, they were catching nice sized squid when they did.

I caught 10 squid in about 1/2 hour in Tacoma last night @ 6:00. Would have caught more, but the seal came in and chased them off. Green was the color of choice.
