north sydney harbour squid fishing ban!

warning to all squidders fishing here.

 

basically its been sectioned off since 1983 as a marine park, and the ruling goes that in this area you may only "fish for fish with fins " so squid fishing is banned.  they never have enforced it before but intend to now. FINES WILL APPLY.


 

the section is basically a straight line from north head to grotta point and everything north from that line in north harbour only.
