I went out yesterday finally to catch my first Inkers for the year Only had a couple of hours to spare but couldn't help it had
to get out for a quick session .Started out with a bright jig in orange gave it 20min's with out a hit so went dark went with the gold/olive coloured jig third cast little Green eye in the net I caught one more on the gold jig and the last two were caught on the pink jig aka Fire . I thought I would post a pic of the type of location I like to look for when fishing of the rocks for Inkers I like kelp beds with sandy patches in between and some rocky structure

I caught one which would have been about 100g on a Daiwa 4.0 the first weekend this year <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' /> Nothing is too big for hungry squid <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
Hi Ben, it's Josh. I met you at that spot a few weeks back and it was blowing a cold norwester and you told me about this website. I was the local down there and I caught a few that day. It's funny that was the first time I had been squidding for years and have tried a few of my secret haunts since then with good success. The best being 8 up to 1.05kg.
I'll try to post a pic of a 1.35kg squid I got in a Sydney Estuary from my boat last Saturday. I weighed and measured it on the brag mat as evidence. It was a real beast of a thing! Keep up the good work. Josh

Hi ben
Nice report and catches <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blueboxbullet.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> . Australians squids are a little bit different than ours , more clear and with green eyes . To fish in Australia is one of my fishing dreams <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' /> .

Good sized squid there Ben.
Fished every morning last week for squid and it was hard. The best 2 of us could do was 5 one day,and none on a day before.I suppose we averaged 1 or 2 each day.
