late report but went to portsea on saturday 5pm-3am... only caught 3 squids and 1 fat cattlefish - it was so ugly and disgusting its not funny

very nice day, didnt see anyone land any squids, majority of the people were fishing, i saw a lot of king george whiting get caught - they were huge. and the usual gars and tommy rough by the old mens - (about 20 old mens rubbing shoulders)

when i got there at 5, the pier was packed, by night, a lot of people left.

no offense to any old people around lol

Quote: PORTSEA:

Gawaine Blake from Think Big Charters has been having some really good success on the calamari around Portsea this week. Gawaine has put his clients onto some classic catches with many of the calamari well over the 1.5kg mark.

Although they are taking a wide range of artificial jigs, something with a red cloth or red foil is working the best.
