Also another little story while it was just becomming light i notice on the sea floor what appeared to be a long net that had several wire sections in it the net was about 12ft in, length and 2ft square in each section it had cone shaped netting like a drum type net......
Anyhow was the pier was slowly being populated.........one of the greeks decided to pull this in as he found the rope that was tied to the pier....another guy who was fishing for gars said to him is that your net he said no
the greek guy said i,m keeping that ling ................there was a ling in there 3ft long as well as some leatheries and other small fish and some erchins stuck on it aswell.
this enraged the aussie guy as his voice broke the sound barrier, saying if you dont put back all the fish i will call the fisheries and youll be going swimming.............coz thats illegal fishing...........wisely the fish went back in and the aussie guy proceeded to remove all the other marine creatures from it cut it up and placed it in the bin.
30 minutes pass.....2 asian guys with no fishing gear walked down the pier and proceeded to look around in the area where the net was so the aussie guy went up to them and said are you looking for your net they said yes ................and i could see the aussie starting to reach boiling point once gain buy the color in his face..........well he said, its in the f...ing bin follwed buy @#W#$$#$$ %$$##$$ its illegal to use those anywhere in australia..............this went on for a minute or so even guys in the boats could here the spay of words across the water.
after that they left and things got back to there tranquil best.
An event filled morning.........i dont can the guy for absolutely exploding his mind to them because we here of these netting practices and say Bar..ards......but few of us would have the intestinal fortitude to say something.....the way this guy did,...including me ....
But hats of to him for getting stuck into them.........spoke to him later and he even gave me some gars hooks..........cheers.
So Guys get the fisheries number in your phones and report anything fishy that doesnt look ok.
sorry for the long text, but there was no shorter way of doing it............bugger didnt get a pic of the net.........and before you ask BMYS
