Yo-zuri Super Shrimp Hunter Duplicate
#1
Hey,

I've come across a squid jig that looks exactly like a Yo-Zuri Super Shrimp Hunter but its not made by Yo Zuri. It comes exactly the same; looks, colour, weight and bouyancy however is alot cheaper. These jigs are from overseas, i believe from Japan. Also, the packaging is not as fancy as the Yo-Zuri one, but that also reduces the costs. I was wondering whether you would buy one of these and how much would you pay for it. See the attachment for the jig.

Just so its clear, I may be able to sell these if theres enough intrest.

Let me know your thoughts,

Chick3n

Personally I wouldn't buy it......I'm sure it looks very similar, feels very similar etc etc but I can't believe that it's as good as the shrimp hunter original. Very few imitations of anything are as good as the original.

Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Cry' />

No worries Jazman, all feedback helps. I'm not looking for a particular response anyway. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Cry' />

I'm getting in a few samples soon to test them against the original.

if there are any comments, whether it may be good or bad - i would like to hear it.

I got the jigs in a while ago.

They seemed pretty well made, and i tested them down at mornington. Although there were a few little squid being caught, this jig managed to get the larger ones (medium size). It also managed to hook the smaller ones as well.

The jig has black hooks and weight so i dont believe that it will rust easily.

I'm going to list one of these up on ebay soon, just to see the response. Feel free to have a look <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

Hi Chick3n

Sounds like they are very similar to genuine shrimphunters, they also have black hooks and weight. Glad to hear of your success! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

chicken

I bought some of those jigs on e-bay and they don't work anywhere near as good as the shrimp hunters , the biggest letdown are the hooks as they are too small and don't conect as good. the colours are right but thats about it.
