Goat Island Bridge

<img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' /> The latest rumour is they are watching the bridge very carefully.

Most of us are guests here having fun with it. I beleive it is not going to take much for them to say no more fishing on the bridge. So the key is to pick up your trash when leaving, big issue.

We are all here to have a good time. It only takes one person to screw it all up for something that has been going on for ever.

The old timers kept it going this long over there so lets not let them take anouther spot away from the new generation. Its all up to us we can keep the squid dream alive.

Great fishing to all squid lovers.

Hello, I am new to this site. I have fished Goat Isld. Bridge for the past many years with a lot of success.

It's a great time for all. We are always diligent in our fishing decorum. Am anxious to hear of the first squid to come through this year. What's the latest?

I've been doing trips to G.I. bridge for a few years now, although I never made it there last year. I was wondering if it's any good during daylight hours? I've only tried for squid at night, but a friend of mine was saying some people do it in the daytime. Any one find good squidding in the daytime?

according to my records we've still got a week or two before the real action begins, but I'd love to hear otherwise.

When they are running, if you are there at the right time you can do very well during the day.

I'm just wondering, besides the squidding it's oh so known for, do any of you try to catch fish from the bridge also? I'm thinking this next visit for me, I may just put a line out with some bait. Surely there has to be some fish in there chasing the squid around.

Anyone had luck fishing there also in he past?

I went on Tuesday AM for about 3 hours---nothing. There were only about 10 people when I got there and about 20 when I left and no one had any.

For some reason GI has not been as productive as years past. I would give Jamestown a try. I still here reports of catching over there.

Cheers,
