Just wanted to take a moment to say hi to everyone else on this forum.

I am from south central Connecticut and not very far from the shoreline.

My squidding has been in Greenport New York and a few trips to the Goat Island bridge in Newport Rhode Island.

I love to catch them as this is the kind of fishing I first found so fascinating. It is just so much fun to pull up a squid and they start to spit water and ink everywhere. I find that to be just great fun.

hi mike, i know what you mean about squid being something special to catch! there are not many other fish/animals in the sea that can squirt black ink at you!! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />



the first time i ever caught one I was hooked!
