Yeah I caught around 35 tonight in about a hour.. Caught them right at the first light as soon as I got there. After about 45 minutes of catching them they stopped biting even though I could see them <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> .

I bet if Kev was there he would of caught those lazy picky squids lol. Also seen a 3 foot shark swimming pretty darn close to the rocks by the shoreline!

It is great to hear about the squid fishing on the East Coast. I too have always been amazed by what people say about squid fishing in the States and when you can catch squid! I was born in MA and now live in Washington. People here also do not understand the squid are here all year. Squid can also be caught during the day and not just at night. More people are being educated but most ignore what they are told. More squid for us!

Our Juicy Jigs Squid Jigs are perfect for the east coast squid. More people should try this great sport. There are many public access points out East.

Keep up the great reports.

Good points Juicy..... squid are available (generally year around), at times in the spawning mode, other times in their generaly lifestyle feeding mode..... biting jigs differently at different times....

Be sure to check out the Juicy Jigs, I "hear" they are designed to look like local baitfish!!!!! and we all know that looking like something to eat is a BIG factor for catching squid!!!! We also have lots of jigs that are "imitation baitfish styles".

This time of year on the East Coast of the USA, it's getting on Tuna Time!!!!! Catching live bait for tuna fishing. The Baited Jigs are well suited for this, as you can use pieces or whole butterfish for bait, which the squid are eating during chumming....

Good luck!!!

I was at nut island over the weekend, squid still biting. I got squid everytime I go there... average from 10 to 25 squid.

I post this at surftalk (striper forum), I want to share with you guys. (not sure if OPs allow cross URL, so I pasted the content here)

Mush (sp?), he's a regular at this pier, got this fish and I was helping him pulling it up. The crap trap's rope broke when we try to bring him up. We have to climb down the pier to get this monster.

One of the biggest fish I saw anyone caught from the pier and from shore.

His gear, 10" Ugly Stick, Shimano Baitrunner 6500B with 30 lbs mono and ofcourse with fresh squid (from me) caught of the pier.

the cod fish are on the move. Fish have shown up on top of the bank. as for the inner harbor area. they should be or will be popping up. I have a few ideas where to look now but nothing of value within my casting range.

as for squid. I am positive.. they come earlier than people expect. I am willing to bet a round of beer!

going tonight to take a look dependin on weather and my old log books...

Hey yea! Squid should arrive earlier then usual this year. So everybody get ready. As for cod. I been trying to get out there. But this un predicatable weather. It said snow today. But I Guess there was none. Dont want to boat out in bad conditions. EVEN though I don't got my boat right now. Everybody should be trying earliest. April 20-25

Questions for Mr.Boston and 1Tym or whoever fished in Qunicy.

I live in Wilmington, MA and would like to try squid fishing in Qunicy. Did you two say that you fished at Nuts Island in Quincy MA? Would you please tell me exactly where? If you have GPS co-ordinates that EVEN better. Thanks in advance.
