so, how you finding the gaff... i'm thinking about getting one very soon, since my net got ganked down at beauy.

Also is it spring loaded, or do you have to extend it manually?
No problem...

Can do. Right. Uh-huh.

Gotcha. Cat in the furnace.

I have the 5 m gaff and its great on a pier but as you said a bit of a pain inthe bum on rocks. yes you can restrict it but hard whrn you have a rod in one hand and a monster squid ont he line and trying to keep the line tight. The gaffs are great and thats why I have another one on order 3 m from japan.

I often catch humbodlts in San Diego, in the states, and it would be really cool to have one of those onboard, we use nets.

Ill have to check that out

it's really easy to use, and i would never capture this 2.5 kg sépia without it!

think to pass it on freshwater when you're back home, it's oxydating!

Well in San Diego I catch them at about 40lb average, however you're right. I need a gaff with one hook, but I think Ill stick with nets

Ordered the 5 mtr model to cover all situations. I wanted a grey gaff, but they are on backorder. Had to choose between the red and yellow models in stock. I went with red......
