so, how you finding the gaff... i'm thinking about getting one very soon, since my net got ganked down at beauy.
Also is it spring loaded, or do you have to extend it manually?

only the spikes are spring loaded but when you gaff its pointing downward and slides out message pete at fishonpro shop are the cheapest i know in australia including postage bout 200.00

Have you used the gaff from brighton rock wall or anywhere like that?
im thinking of getting one as the big untis are hanging around and i had to get my feet wet last time i was fishing

Hi no i havnt but think it would be a bit long at 5 meters............you can get small ones that would be suitable for rocks .

I have the 5 m gaff and its great on a pier but as you said a bit of a pain inthe bum on rocks. yes you can restrict it but hard whrn you have a rod in one hand and a monster squid ont he line and trying to keep the line tight. The gaffs are great and thats why I have another one on order 3 m from japan.

Yeah until you use one you dont know how it feels, i have used one of the net poles that my fishing mate has but it was abit old and bulky.
i guess i will just have to get one

Hello everyone.
anyone been for a fish in the mornings? what seems to be best time, tide all that. i have been only fishing nights and hoping to do a morning sess tomorow.
also if anyone needs some clips i have heaps.

Skipper wouldn't you need something like a fixed gaff, those humbolts get pretty big don't they!?
