got out to edmonds about 8pm last night. one group of people with the generator were just packing up to leave, so we had to fish with no light. didnt see any caught at all. there were about a dozen people squidding. way more peole than i expected. fished until 930. as we were leaving a guy showed up with his generator, figures huh. high tide was at 11:35 pm so i'm sure the bite picked up. be back sometime hopefully with my generator. some guys said last week they did really good.

well sater day we did the big loop we started in tacoma then redondo then the hit the bc fert dock in seattle then hit edmons the squid have been very slow the ones that hit the bucket were small and few in # ther were 8 of us and well ther were lots of anglers out no squid were found to call fishing ther were the few and fare between ones but ther may have been 1-2 lb on on the docks total way too slow to attemp full scale attacks for squid for the year ps is it just me or have the last 3 years just sucked for squid

Have you tried the Shilshole Bay Marina??? I have heard that was doing well recently.

Well I have been hitting Stellacoom just about every nite for 2 weeks now my first few nites out everyone but me was snaggin em (I blame my $1.99 jig have upgraded since) since then its been a couple a nite if your lucky but the last 4 nites I havent caught any thing but a few bullheads and a case of the sniffles but I am a diehard and I am heading out the door now Ill let ya all know if things pick up down here hopefully they will.

Well tried les davis pier off of ruston on sat. no luck got skunked the folloing 3 nites then 2 nites of only getting one and tonite I landed 5 tonite at stellicoom but that was over a 5 hour periodso its still dog slow

I know that people fish off the Piers due to the lights attracting the squid, but could you catch them anywhere in the Puget Sound that has a light source? At the marina where I keep my boat moored thier is a bright light at the end of my slip. There is no breakwater blocking the free flow of current and my slip is about 80 yards off shore. So I was wondering if I could just drop a jig right there and avoid the combat squid fishing found at the Port Orchard area Piers.

Should be able to find squid there. The more lights the better, as far as it attracting squid though. If you could hang an 500W halogen light off the side of your boat, you would be set.

I fished the Redondo Pier for about an hour a few nights ago... it wasn't hot, but when the school would come near the pier, everyone was hooking up pretty well.
