i,m right handed and wind with my right, how ever it seems that most japanese are left handed as most of them i see on dvd clips youtube and others the majority wind left handed.
i know its whats most natural to do for each person, being right handed i,m wanting to know if i should be winding left handed ???
and useing my dominant arm jigging ????
Cheers Ian

I'm right handed and with most types of fishing I wind with my right but when it comes to eging I wind with my left. Or rather, I hold the reel handle with my left and my right seems to jerk the rod around the handle... Anyway, I find my right wrist is better at flicking the rod

I am the same. I am right handed and or any type of fishing i wind in with my right hand. when squid fishing i wind with my left had and jig the squid jig with my right. i find i have much better control over the rod with my right hand. it took a while to get usd to but now it feels normal..

Depends on which setup i go...
Baitcaster, i wind with the right hand, cast with right arm.
Spinning sets, i wind with the left hand, cast with the right arm.

I can do both, but I find im more confident casting with my right hand, more than my left. Personally I like RH winding as well, just because I have a little bit more control on fine touches.

Right handed and I reel with my right, I've done it that way since I was a little kid.
I've tried to switch, never stuck.

which ever hand sends the reel around the easiest has got to be the correct hand
