gday all!

I have just signed up on this forum, recently returned to Perth after 12 yrs in melb. Missing my snapper KG and gummies badly!!! But the squid ground here are fantastic from all accounts,

Im living down in Port Kennedy and have been told that the sounds are great places for squid, have to say have zip exp, never chased em in melb, haha was very lazy would get my mates kid to sell me all his squid heads for snapper bait.

Keen as mustard to get out and get my boat wet, so if anyone wants to take a "newbie squid hunter" out to show him a few tricks and chew the fat - please get in contact!

cheers

G'day guys just signed up for this site, looking for some good squid spots to try on the coast ive heard a lot about the rocco ammo jetty an the freo moles are good spots, but wondering any good spots north. Hilliarys marinia any good?, best sort of times to go. Any feed back would be great, good fishing cheers

Also new to the site and squidding. Have caught a couple in hillarys marina and 1 off the disabled platform on the north wall. That one was while fishing, keeping kids entertained in the middle of the day. I put a squid jig on cos I was so tired of having my bait stolen. Complete fluke a little squid jumped on. It was the only thing we caught all day. The guys at the boat and tackle shop at Hillarys are great to talk to. They said you can generally get squid on the inside of the marina. Haven't had too much luck, but haven't tried much either.

last week went down to ocean reef marina to see what it was like. First cast got a squid, my daughter also got 1 but they were both pretty small. Mosquitoes, fading light and the kids jumping around on the rocks put an end to that squidding adventure. Tried the next night but absolutely nothing!

Any hints or spots in the northern suburbs would be appreciated by us also!
