Puget Sound, WA (2011 Season)
I went squiding with pickle Bob and Mat tonight a the Edmonds Pier. It was kinda sad the only 2 squid caught were the ones Pickle Bob got. Lots of people just no squid <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Cry' />
Hit the aquarium pier to try for an evening bite at 7:00P. Just a bunch of pinky sized squid. Left after 3 hours. Hit it again at 6:00AM. Caught 2 decent sized ones. Other guys who were there since 2:00A didn't have much to show for it. I guess it's a waiting game for a new school.
stoped at teds sport center and got 3 of the new 2 inch mini glow jigs he has in stock.a guy at the pier was doing good on them.i think it's because there small and glow in the dark.i got - green - pink - blue

Hi,

I'm a relative newby here, on Vashon. I wondered what people have experienced with mini-LED blue underwater squid lights (no brand mentioned, purposely). Also, are there any other Vashon squidders lurking out there?
Very slow at Les Davis last night. Saw a few caught early.
Hi Red, did Ted's just get those jigs? I don't recall seeing the small ones last time I was up there.
Hi Ethan, I haven't seen anyone catching with the LED jigs. But, it was slow fishing to begin with so I don't know how they would do when a big school comes in.
hi mekim ted just got the jigs in saturday you might have to ask for them. i don't think he had a lot of them but he is getting more this week . he had a little over 50 when i was in there saturday he is the only store that has them there 1 1\4 in and 2 in size.
Been going to Brownsville the last couple nights, as soon as the sun goes down. Stay till around 9:30 10:00ish and has been extremely slow, not to mention very very small ones. Average size of about 4 to 5 inches. Could only catch the big ones by snagging them when they came up to the light...

Thought I would try a few new places. Anyone been to Illahee or waterman yet this month? If so how was it?

P.S. Anyone here go squidding in the Tacoma area? Not sure of a good place to go in the Tacoma area yet.
Thanks, Red. Bought the last three from Mike at Ted's. Hopefully, they get more. I need some green ones!
Hit the aquarium pier to try for a late night bite. The outlets were out. And the squid weren't in. Not even a seal.
