Hello, I have the following problem whith fried squid:
I I've been in Greece many times and every time I order calamari they are perfect <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' /> ...BUT... when I try to make them myself the result is terrifying. I feel that the type of squid is very important. So, does anyone know exactly what type of squid are most delicious frying? Loligo vulgaris, loligo chinisses, loligo patagonico ... I know that there are about 300 species but which is recommended for frying? If you know witch type is most popular and is served in greece please tell me <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' />. Thanks, now when you know about my pain I am feeling a little bit better <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
