This is my favourite, i like the idea you can use different tecqniques all in the one retrieve you don't need to be stuck with one like i see some many times on japanese videos,,i wish i could move to Victoria and get into some aircraft carriers <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' />

The second video is great, I watch that often, but the first video is ###### cause the YouFishTV guys throw childish insults at their fans.

Its interesting how the Yamashita guy says gold and silver are good day time colours,,i have never seen a gold squid jig nor have i seen anybody saying its a colour they use,,i guess Yamashita sell them,,i was in my local tackle shop a few months back and they had a guy from the Yamashita family in Japan doing a presantation,,it was interesting,,,the shop decided not to stock any tho for whatever reasons.

The gold is the colour of the foil underneath the cloth and they'd work well in the day due to reflecting light, producing flashes similar to bait fish.

Right,,i keep forgetting how important foil colours are,,i think a lot of folks don't take much notice either.

You can get gold colour squid jigs if you want.

Absolutely.
One of the reasons I bought some Harimitsu jigs was that besides having various foil colours the cloth that covered the jig has reflective properties that gives off tiny flecks of light that look like scales.

I need to get a few spare barbs for my Harmitsus, being carbon steel most of mine need replaceing, i have not seen them in the tackle shops tho,they should include spare barbs in the packet i reckon.

Their website says the barbs are stainless steel.

Well I've got a lot of stainless barbs that are rusting then (and quick).....I'd suggest there is indeed a lot of carbon in the barbs!
