Puget Sound, WA (2012 Season)
yeah I started at 69 with 3 squid. Then jumped next door to 70 and then pounded 8-9 pounds their and finished my limit at 69! in 5 extra minutes! Got it in 120 minutes! Stayed till 1 though talking to the crew!
Is there a better spot on 70 to fish? I usually fish on the left side of the building (facing pier 69) since there's a lot less wind, is the front or right side of the building any better?
nope facing pier 69 then about midnight (sometimes)facing west gets good! Ill be out there tonite! im in a black coat with a camo hat or white/green/blue beanie! with a bike occasionally.
I might go squidding tonight as well, either at Redondo or somewhere in Seattle.
Last night sucked! MAYBE 4 pounds at best? It was good to start then slowed way down for the rest of the night!
Last night was so so. Caught 12 but since i'm very new to squiding, i thought that wasn't so bad. Although it didn't even hold a candle to my first night of 5lbs on the 19th. Could be due to the tide and moon phase???
Yesterday at 70 was killer, everyone pretty much maxed their limit within 2 or so hours.
Is anyone catching any squid at Edmond
got 2 pounds at 69/70! Crabber, how did they get their limit if it was slow for both piers?
Squidman, it wasn't slow on Tuesday night between 8pm - 11pm. They were biting nonstop between that time at 70 (not 69).
Hey everyone, new to the forum. I just recenlty got back into squiding, Are there any decent spots on the kitsap side of the water. I have been going to brownsville and at most have pulled 18 in a night.
my crew got limits! Seattle area!
I only fish between Tacoma and Seattle, so no idea about the squidding spots around Kitsap and Edmonds.
For Kitsap County; Bremerton, Squamish, Kingston, Watermens pier!

Snohomish County; Edmonds or traveling North to Bellingham!

Do you know if there is power at any of these?
Edmonds, Kingston, & squamish is all i know for use of generators!
Cool thanks for the info, I stopped by illahee on my way home today. Talked with a guy there, he said he pulled his limit the other night and it has light provided there so I think I will try it.
Killer at 62. Just got home. Got about 2-3 pounds (a half of 1 gallon bag). Went home because started to feel tired (especially my spine discs). weather was nasty, quite stong wind, plus rain time to time. Learned how to cast (the way which works the best for me). Thank you to a guy at 69, who told me to go to 62 because people there are close to the limits. Thank you to a guy at 62 who let me stay next to him and his light. By the way, is there any special thanks I have to make (or whatever) besides just thanking for the sharing a lighted spot? Are there any common "rules" on this toptic?

Once again I got strong feeling that presence of squids is the most important factor for successful squiding. It was nothing-nothing-nothing-nothing-incoming wave of squids with doubles and jumbos one after another-and then slower-slower-slower-close to nothing.
sound like I need to make a trip to seattle if I want to catch squid. thanks for all the info guys!
got my limit!
