hi guys how're we all? hope you're all stay nice and warm and get a lot of fishing done. I've moved to north shore area for a bout 3-4 months now. been out fishing as much as I can but work wouldn't really allow me <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />. But I find my way around from time to time anyway I've been to a few spot here mainly at balmoral since I can get a public transport to and from my house, and some time my mats will come along with he car then we can venture out a little further.

Last sunday I decided to go for a sesh with friends and after producing nothing for so long I finally broke the zip spell with my new land base pb it not the biggest squid ever but after months of catching nothing it feel great <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/innocent.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Angel' /> . I totally forget all those early morning wake up call from my alarm(but in this trip that would be my friends phone call <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' /> ) and how awesome it feel to get something again.

anyway enough of me go on and on about how good it feel, I just want you guys especially those whos having a lot of bad sessions like myself don't give up easily keep going and sure enough when you in the right place at then right time you'll be rewarded.

PS. if you see this guy squiding round come say hi I'd love to learn some new tricks and meet up with fellow squider.

Nice Southern PrutKul, Looks like a place that I fish for Squid too. Yeah they have been rather thin so far this year but are definitly bigger. Last lot i caught were 4all in the 50cm range landbased so they are definitly there. Where about are you on the north Shore? I also live on the north shore side and go squidding as often as I can

Cheers

Hi all, just recently been working in Mosman, finish work at 3pm and been looking around for some decent spots for squiding around the area, so far I have found none yet. Could anyone be kind enough to give me some pointers? I am after specific spots and willing to trade for other locations if you need to. Can PM me if you wish. Thanks in advance. TTL

hi TTL, balmoral is a nice spot for squiding although on the weekend it can be very crowded. I usually go there just before sun is set and try my luck for a while around wharf area never try the island part just yet but I herd it produce as well. I'll let you know when I sus that bit out.

Hi Prutkul, thanks for the tip. I went to Balmoral 2 weeks ago just for a look, there seemed to be some construction work going at the wharf, pretty noisy to, can you still fish there?

I tried Bradleys Head the other day and caught 2 small and 1 medium squids, but it's hard work for about 2 hours, I don't think it's a good spot though being a bit shallow. I'll give the Spit Bridge a go next week when I have a chance of working in the area again, I'll let you know how I go.

try clifton gardens as well it's a little on and off, but if you're lucky a big platter full of calamari rings won't be just a dream.
