Squid jig or pilly/yakka on a jag

Hi all,



Im new to this forum. Caught my first squid in sydney harbour on Saturday. I must admit I am hooked now <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />. What are your thoughts on what produces better results?



Squid jig or a fresh pilly or yakka on a jag?

i think they are good in different situations

if there are squid around and your catching them then a jig is better

but if you cant seem to get them to bite or if there not around a pillie on a jag will attract them and tempt them into biting
