Newport Ri 2013 Squid Season

Anybody been out lately? Things are awful quiet the last few days. Thinking about heading out Saturday night.

Talked to a commercial squid fisherman Monday. The squid are showing up more lately and are 3+  weeks later that usual.

Tides look good for this wkend, gonna be a strong tide running I think with the nearly full moon sat night though. Anyone else plan on showing face over the weekend?

Fished Nebraska shoal last night. Nothing but dirty water.

There is squid and I think squid season are over, since other fish move in to near shore line.

May be this fall will be great one or may be not

Well I'm not master but I just pay attention at small detail.

However, there is better squid fishermans are everywhere and I'm not consider that I am one of them.

I'm just try to share my expirience.

Well I will take a break for a while, and hope you guys seeing at action.

I am not that familiar with all the ramps and squid fishing location in RI .

Can you elaborate ramp location day or night fishing, I tried unsuccessfully for many trips including GI bridge .

On a separate, non related subject... Any boaters on here looking to get rid of any boat rod holders? Or can someone shoot me a link to someone that knows someone that has a buddy of a friend that might have something cheap... or dare I say, free?

HEY GUYS.. its been tough no squid since the first postings of the spring =(.. however.. this is not quite newport but north.. if you guys have facebook check out what tomo tackle out.. see what tomo has been upto.. =) i will say youll be pleasantly surprised!

I got a 44lbs case of squid today from Narragansett .

$3.00 a pound set me back $132 bucks .


Much easier this way for this year .
