Brighton was dead tonight.

fished from 5pm till 9, 3 small squid.

Anyone goin out in the morning? I was thinking of checking out Brighton

fished brighton tonight from 7:30 till 10:30 lost a little one after my third cast

then at 10:15 got my biggest squid to date it was over 1 kilo it weighed 1016 grams.

was well worth the wait... caught it on a pink yamshita size 3 that glows.... dont know how to upload photos

but if i work it out il upload the picture of it..

It was from the pier I was at the light before the shelter

never thought a squid could peel line of the drag the way it

did...

and a camo jumper i was with a mate and we were

fishing for garfish aswell..

i was fishing with re and another guy on the pier befor we went back to the rocks....

ASE90: Were you fishing right on front of the sea baths around 7 ish? I spoke to two younger guys when i left. i think one was wearing a beanie.

i'v never caught anything around 1kg on a rod and reel, only with the squid poles.



iv got an engagement party near brighton this saturday, might pop by brighton afterwards and have a go. il have to get changed though, wouldn't want to fish in a suit haha



would be good to meet a few squid fish members !

1kilo is just like another day at brighton, every night there seems to be 1kilo, 1.5 pulled in.

last night was very slow but still a variety bag for everyone, most where caught just befor last light

there was a few, not as many as i have seen and not as big.

most of the fishing was done around 5-7pm and just about all the squid where caught at that time.
