It looks to be awesome tomorrow, I'm going spearfishing at Lorne, so no squid for me (unless I see one....). I hope the swell is not too big...

You can get a sling spear (or I prefer a speargun) at most dive shops - I don't know how close you live to JV Marine on Springvale Rd Braeside, but they have a pretty good selection.
I must have cursed myself hoping for no swell - there was enough to make the visibility quite poor. I was hoping for some leatherjackets, but I didn't see any. The spot we dived (near Apollo Bay) was thick with zebra fish and sweep, but I'm not a big fan of them on the plate, so I went home hungry! Not too long before the weather warms up and the good fish start to move inshore. Cant wait!
