Quote:whos going this weekend? Will the tide matter?
Yea. Tide is matter. Hour before and after high or low tide is prime time, because current slowing down a lot.
anyone interested in a little kayak adventure maybe? hmm hmm?

Maybe, I do have a fishing kayak, canoe might be more roomy if I want to being battery and lights.
47.7 and rising, I will be making the rounds this weekend.

awfully quiet, bet Anthony is pounding them somewhere.

Frances fleet canceled its squid trips that were to start this weekend,   They

may try again in a week.

No squid canal last night. 11:30pm - 2:30am.
Thanks Anthony, wonder if Steve or Scott checked Beverly.  I will check CT

and RI spots I know and let you know whats going on.  North shore MA water

is still cold but CT and RI should be getting just about right.

From 11:30 to 3 am last night caught one big one at fort Getty
Any sign of schoolies or herring yet?
Saw 2 small schools being chased by big fish
schoolies have arrived in RI

Not many squid yet. A few more days like yesterday should bring them in!

Hi Janz, today is the day I pull out my fishing stuff and start poking around the north shore trying to catch something...anything.  I've been watching the water temps, currently 45 in Boston harbor.  Sounds a bit windy out there.  Once I catch my first squid I'll let you know with pics.  Good luck out there.
Moving up....

Went to Woods Hole, Hyannis, and the Vineyard

No bait fish or squid nothing but Jelly

Good thing I took the big boat it was rough

Ok I got to go to work so I can pay for next weekend trip.
I just heard from a guy who heard from his friend

They're killing it in Newport. Any one can confirm that

They're catching it some where? Lot of squid

But where?

I can tell you the fact is in 2 weekends I caught 3 squid

So it not in the cape?

Where????????????????????????
Hit Ct first last night and nothing but cold and wind.  Next stop RI lots of folks around

Pt Judith but not fishing for squid and said they haven't seen any yet.  Jamestown

and met up with sangng978 while checking a spot, those squidding had nothing.

Did see the biggest jelly fish ever up north here, body was a bit bigger than a basketball

and tentacles were over 2 ft long, a skate, and a sea robin.  Tons of bait everywhere I

went.  Went to Newport and goat island was packed and as usual no where to park,

but did drive real slow back and forth over bridge and saw lots of people trying but

did not see any caught.  Checked a couple other spots in Newport but nothing in the

way of squid.  Just a little warmer should do the trick if their coming.  Like the others

I spoke with it was just nice to get out of the house after a long cold winter.

One of these nights I'll find squidder bruce.

talked to a guy pulling boat out of hyannis, he said on a couple squid and had a water temp of fifty, told that to the kid at red top this morning and he said that was the first he has heard
