2) ã¤ã«èªå¼å¤ - This next one is an attractant for squid. You spray it on the squid jigs.
3) ã¨ã®å°ç¨ 表é¢ä¿è·å¤ - This one is the coolest of the lot! As far as I can tell, this spray is used to protect the squid jigs from the stains of squid ink! You spray it on your jigs and the squid ink will not stick! This is a great idea! If anyone has used this spray, please let us know if it works!

Taka - ã¿ã« (Japan)
This is another company that makes squid attractants. Seems to be derived from shrimp scent or essence. I have not yet found a weblink to the manufacturer's website.
The scent/attractant can be purchased from the following site:
I wish I could understand Japanese <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
Hi glen the japanese language is pretty complex they seem to have a different language in itself, ie anything to do with cars only a person who studies or work with cars can translate it would seem we would need a person who understands squiding to translate <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />
Has anyone tried this scent stuff? might be worth trying just for the hell of it, you never know,... <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />
i saw the egimax stuff on sale in JV Marine in Victoria. They wanted about $25 AUS for a fairly small can. It has a recommended price in Yen printed on the can and the conversion worked out to a lot less than $25 so it was a bit of a rip off.
Most of these products are the spray with squid attracting scence such as "Yellowtail flavour" or "Prawn flavour". ha, ha, funny aren't they?
Some products contain unti - squid ink, (As squid ink make them caution)
One of Bonaza product is line wax for Egging(Squid jig fishing) & Yaen fishing (live bait with special gear called "Yaen" - it's one of popular squid fishing style in Japan)
hi j-boy, its nice to have someone around who can understand some japanese. as you can see I have been struggling! :online2long:
you mentioned the Bonaza line wax product. is this supposed to make the fishing line float? if so, then i guess it must be similar to other fly fishing floatants like "gink".

i gave salonpas a shot a couple of times and it certainly did not hurt but i can't say if it helped.
i had a bit of trouble with it falling off the squid jig so i gave up <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
if anyone is interested, you can buy it in asian grocery stores. its a white tape inside the packet and it smells a bit like vics vapour rub.
