Been checking for the squid draggers - saw them today for the first time this year - only 2 boats  out there - in past years usually see around 6 - after today I believe that have to move offshore - 6 miles I think.

Are they no longer allowed to drag for squid in the sound?? Edgartown harbormaster reports no ink on the docks there yet. Are the draggers bringing any squid in?? Thanks, Gene

By the way you were right about last year
Loligo. They came and gone. I end up bought a couple hundred dollars worth Of squid and they were subpar.

Where did you catch this much of squid? were you on a boat or something from Hyannis?
12-05-2014, 04:05 PM

On the boat
There were also three squid's Charter boats out there And a bunch of private fleet They all catch as much as I did. It was very rough sea Head high waves 26 MPH wind it was a hardcore situation Like the deadliest catch. These boat were big boat may be a couple small boats But they left when it got rough I head out at 40Mph Got in at 8-10 MPH and got soaking wet My boat got beat up really bad. It was 12 am when I got sick and head in And almost hit a rock But with about $800 dollar worth of squid I say it worth it !

They're on the move
Edgartown 3/4 cooler from 7:30 pm to 5:30 am I wouldn't say it 's a Blitz but it was satisfying .
