Glenelg, SA
#1
Hey Guys!!

I havent personally been out yet, but i know of two groups who have fished the jetty at Glenelg for a nice bag of 7+ squid each (along with occasional legal whiting and some gar) and also another who fished from a boat and scored a dozen (up to 2kgs) as well as some nice legal whiting.

So looks like i might have to brush of the jags and give them a crack!!

Cheers!

Nathan

Bad luck willy, i usually don't have much luck when it's murky either <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Just remember, the squid you didn't catch last night are the ones you're saving up for next time!

Cheers,

Jaz

Yeah Jazman - might try again next week, and take some bait as apparently there are a few whiting around - only wanted squid last night. The upside is i didnt have to clean the darn things!!

Willy mate murky water and squid dont mix do dont blame yourself. Having said that I caught my third largest Sydney squid in murky water. It was a mumma and didnt care for poor clarity! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/zorro.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />
OWNED.

Hey statesquidder,

If you fish at Brighton, on the right hand side at the end, there is a weed patch. Set a baitfish under a float over this and the squid should come out. Or cast your jags over it!

Good to hear nerddog. The metro jetties don't fire with squid like that very often. What was the water clarity and wind like??? Did you have a rod with you??

Quiet there at the bay now, Last month I was getting the odd one here and there but I wouldn't head down the bay jetty specifically to catch squid. Wait till after Nov. Less hoping and waiting, more catching.
