I have been unable to buy new YoZuris thanks to a local distributor problem. I was told by two tackle shops that the Australian distributor or whoever is either non-existent or refusing to cooperate or whatever and as a result theres a slow trickle of jigs from them.
Sure, theres still YoZuris available, but they are in VERY limited sizes and colours. For example, the good old generic pink 3.0 Oita is rarer than a hens teeth. This is inexplicable because there are so many people wanting to buy Yo Zuris, yet so few available. Do people outside of Sydney experience this shortage, or have the facts to clear it up? I simply refuse to bother taking chances with other brands. Im sure some of them are good, but I dont want to know any of it. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' /> <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':lol' />

i have noticed in melbourne that yo-zuri jigs are not so common as they used to be. yamashita are still pretty plentiful though. we are getting a lot of cheap jig brands too now. lots of $3 or $4 jigs.
you may have to resort to mail order to get your pink oita!
i imagine the current distributor of yo-zuri will lose the distribution contract soon if they are unecessarily holding up deliveries.
cheers, glen

Yes glen Id imagine the same thing, except the shortage started since almost two years ago. Whatever it is, Ive gathered that it is because YoZuri fans have to wait out the end of contract of this particular distributor. Does anyone actually have any facts or must we rely on rumour? The rumour sounds believable though, since you cant find a good range anywhere. Might need to order online.

Yeah, havent seen too many yo zuris around at all - got one not too long ago, but i have since seen a mate lose that one, while casting due to having light and old line.......sinker weight was too much - i think there are still a couple of local places that have a few left........
