Back From Nz
#1
Hey guys,

I have been on holidays in New Zealand for a couple of weeks so have not been very active in the forums. Just got back. See attached a photo of a typical trout from the South Island. Didn't get any monster fish this time. Most of the rivers are closed to fishing at the moment so we could only fish the lakes. Best fish was probably about 4 pounds.

It was really cold over there!!! We were fishing in the snow for a couple of days. Though returning to Melbourne I see its pretty cold here too!

Can't wait for summer hey,

I will post out the prizes for the competition shortly. Thanks to everyone who took part.

Take it easy,

Glen

Welcome back Glen!

That's a ripper trout, you've got to be happy with 4 pounders!

It would be awesome to fish in the snow, cold though. I hope you remembered your waders!

hey jaz, i was hoping to top my 7.5 pounder from last year (my best trout ever) but didn't see any fish anywhere near that size on this trip.

i took my thigh waders which were pretty essential for winter fishing. in summer most people "wet wade" since there are no snakes to worry about.....though the sand flies can be bad in places. so people tend to wear long jons and shorts.

anyway, glad to be back in sunny melbourne! its a ripper day today!

cheers, glen
