Sinking Lines
#1
A common problem that I seem to have when float fishing is the line sinking and getting tangled in the kelp beds when the tide is pushing the float towards the jetty. This is a bigger problem at low tide. Someone recommended rubbing vasoline (no jokes please!) on the line. Has anyone tried this?

you can buy a product called "gink" which is for making dry flies float but it can also be used for fishing line.
