I would try early in the day, but during the day is fine. Ive only got 1 squid at Wallaroo, but there are a few around there - just after the pool area at the start. Moonta i havent fished, but i would try at Pt Hughes - there are lots of squid there!!
SA - the land of the bigger fish. The fish on the east, measure the least, but if you head west, you'll be bringing in the best!!

went down port hughes jetty at 2pm on monday just gone and had 6 nice squid in the bucket within 2 hours, would not touch a teaser line (unusual) but loved the jags. at one stage there were a few roaming around the jag at once so my old mate pat even jagged a couple to. all in all a good arvo.

Lately theyve been a bit quiet as the poor old squid cop a flogging over xmas school holiday break, its good to see it mite be getting back to normal........ until easter

i know this is a forumn dedicated to squid ( a damn good one to) but my advice to anyone heading away for a squid this weekend is make sure you dont forget a crab ne.

I went for my usual flick of the jag today and only got one squid but the booby prize was i got 15 nice big male crabs.

plenty of them around by the look as i wasnt the only one getting a good feed.

Have a good weekend all and may the squid be with you

Really? Yeah I was reading about the upgrade in the Yorke Peninsula Times. Is Port Hughes getting upgraded as well?

yeah, I'm looking at going to Port Hughes in September so hopefully that's still open. Nah I haven't been squidding since the Queens Birthday long weekend. I'm looking at going to Brighton very soon, then Port Hughes.
