Egi lures in a row or Sabiki rigged?

Hi - first post here. I fish for big fin reef squid (Sepioteuthis lessoniana) in Kenya - drifting from a boat, over the reef in shallow water (4-7m), generally for an hour or two at either end of the day. I catch reasonably using single Egi lures 3.5 / 4g - but have never managed to improve my catch rate by using a couple of lures on a Sabiki rig and wondered if I am missing something.

Also - does anyone ever rig Egi lures, one after the other?
