Starting to show in jamestown. Small pods and very finicky should get better in a couple of weeks

I had to leave the Vineyard but the squid were still in pretty good in Edgartown. More big ones than small ones and daytime squidding was even picking up.

Are there enough to make it worth while to plan a trip?

I'd hate to say yes unless you are close. I only dock fish and did not see any boats working for them. Also since I left we have the big blow and rain yesterday and today which may affect their travel plans. Usually they are in pretty thick when we get daytime squid in the channel.

Thank you for your honest input. Friends were catching mid size squid in the Jamestown/Newport RI area this week. Marked tons of them but they werent that aggressive. Decent haul, 3 guys filled 3 5 gallon buckets.
