2020 MA/RI Squid Thread
#21
Just putting this question out there again.....

Anybody have space for 1 extra person on one or two squid runs this season? Will throw in money for fuel in exchange for time chasing squid. Happy to meet anywhere. My boat is not going to be ready in time this year (some major work underway), but I'm really looking to fill the bait freezer and put some fresh calamari on the table - just need to team up with somebody.

Thanks - Capt Steve

Washington State, Just banned recreational fishing until further notice.

WTF What's wrong with those people? Try to starve their people to death?

I couldn't find any egg or bread at 2 supermarkets here, got them at the 3rd one.

Have you guys tried to buy a frrezer?

All sold out.

Massachusetts better not ban fishing because I'll go any way.

Hey 1BigSquid, I went on Amazon and got 14 yozuri jigs, good stuff, not going to be here till April 1St.

Town of Yarmouth just Declared closing their beaches. UnBelievable.

Very easy to keep 6foot seperation on the beach.

I got an email from DMF stated that fishing are not close.

That being said towns can choose to close their beaches parking lots. But rightfully they have no authorities to close state's

Managed boat ramps and trailers parking.

Any one really seen they closing boat ramps? Any one?

I ran out of food. They're better not closing those ramps. I am counting on fishing to feed my wife and kid. May be I should looking for food pantry then. Hopefully they have food there. Or those close too?

Normally I would be getting ready to get out soon in front of Hyannis Harbor but this year looks like we may need a few more options. Has anyone had much luck in front of Falmouth? There are more ramps to potentially get the boat out with in case Hyannis Harbor Ramp is closed. There are always the docks but really hoping to get out on the water.

Squidfox If the Falmouth ramp is open would you plan on fishing that area or make the ride down to Hyannis? Usually we suid in front of Hyannis but I have seen boats every now and then in front of Falmouth. Not sure if they have had any luck there but it may be an option for this year. I live near the falmouth ramp and can check on that one

Briscola, there are 8 salt water ramps in falmouth that I know of.

6 out of those 8 are state funded and owned by state and serving state and town boaters, you do not need a town residency to land yor vessel and park your trailer there. Falmouth harbor boat ramp for example is state own. The town only Ramps, you'll need town residency sticker. I'm almost 99% sure that state ramps are not close. The town do not want to get sue. Again according to state of Massachusetts fishing is not close.

At least not yet.
