Wake up squidders!!! I was in another forum and read about a run of squid in the Boston Harbor area. Anyone back this up? Also have solid reports of nice schools of squid offshore. My most recent look at live squid was around the 4th of July in the rips off Monomoy, the Rips were filled with bait, 40" bass stacked up and feeding. Saw the seagulls picking live squid off the surface. But back to the original subject...... Fall Run, at the saltwater show this year talked to a guy that talked about a fall run at the vinyard, but Boston Harbor? I'll be on Stellwagen over the next month or so and will definatly keep my eyes open, I keep my jigs on the boat all year... you never know. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer, still lots of fishing left <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

They have actually been in the Boston Harbor area ALL SUMMER!!!!! From the reports I have, the squid have been fairly small, so jig sizes 1.0 & 1.5 have been working best.

been a while since ive been on.. but if your interested in squid in the boston area.. this year 2009 has been a weak showing of squid in comparison to the last 3 years.

My advice depends on your means of fishing. If you are shore fishing my suggestion is to try squiding north of boston.. beverly winthrop and beyond..

If you have a boat.. there are areas were it is lighted around the harbor that have a few squid popping up. But I can tell you I have not found anything significant this year on the sonar or land based fishing. The only reports I have been hearing 10+ or more squid an outting are some unusual places north of boston. nothing doing here in the south shore except sporadic showings..
