Hi,

i was in shanghai last time and there were a lot of tackle stores on Jin Sa Jian Road (if i remembered right). Have you checked there already? Not sure if they have any eging rods, but you can probably get some jigs from them.

Hi Nautilusly,

Thanks for the tip, is that within the city area ? I'm trying to find out more, cos it seems like there isn't any china manufacturers making Eging Rods OEM. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

It is in Pu Tuo Suburb in Shanghai. many people referred it as the "tackle street" and there are about 10-15 tackle stores side-by-side. All fairly small shops and lot of freshwater fishing gear i think. and its about 20 mins drive from Zhong Shan Park, so not too far away. Eging rods are not in high demand and hard to get everywhere (except in japan probably?). Would be lucky if you can find a OEM manufacturer. Or otherwise any light rod with soft tips would do the job ok. Good luck! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

Hi matey,

I won't be driving as I'll be there for meetings ... are there any tackle haven around the city?

I'm actually looking around for some items, but will like to get the addresses right before setting off cos time is short. I'm looking for made in china lures, jig heads, Egi Rods, Tica reels and a camera tripod.

Do you happen to have a recommendation for those items that's kinda like within the city?

By the way, how's fishing in Oz at the moment? Haven't been back there for years now. Miss that place.

Cheers,

Dont know if there are any tackle shops in the city. doubt it through. I am not sure what is the exact address of the tackle street i've been to, but grab a taxi and they could probably take you there. If you are looking for retailers of lures and stuff, why not try ebay. I think the price on ebay must be cheaper than retailers in china.

fishing in sydney sucks now, lots of rain and wind <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />
