g'day guys, fished the calamari classic in the sound last sunday, was very hard going with many of our spots that usually produce big ones only gave us one or two. Ended up catching 17 for the day but it was a hard 4 hours with lots of driving about to find the patches of them. I think its all down to the murky looking water and the squid not seeing the jigs as we did well once we switched to orange.

Also went for a squid at north mole on monday, wasn't much around. Mate landed a small cuttly but appart from that there were lots of small skippy and herring.

Skittles,

You fishing from shore or boat? Shore based I have had reports from customers saying they got some good numbers from woodies rock wall, close to the beach where all the old boys get their herring in the mornings.

Skittles, had a few people tell me that they wern't doing well at the moment shore based with a few hours work to get only 4-6 squid. Spoke to another bloke today though and he said he was getting a good feed of em from the boat out in the sound, always the case but! Haven't been out myself for a couple of weeks but will be soon.
