Hey guys i am new to this type of fishing. Tonight a mate and i went to Woodbridge Jetty at around 7.30pm. We were using Yo Zuri orange/white and pink/white 2.5 jigs with in seconds we were into a heap of squid not sure what type as i am still learning. Was a really good night at the end we had about 20 in the bag all medium sized. We left at around 10 oclock as they seemed to go off the bite. Saw loads of squid down there and its well worth the tripe to have a go.
Cheers Rob.

Well went again tonight with a few mates.
Strated fishing around 8pm second cast was into them again.
Tried a Red white 3.5 yo zuri to see if we could hook some larger fish and it seemed to work a treat. Caught about 10 southeren calamari in an hour then the rain came in hard so we did the dash and left.
Looking into the water almost 90% of the time a squid would be following the jig.
Good fun spot.
Cheers Rob.

I went down there at 3am sunday morning from lenah valley and it was well worth the drive... I got my first ever squid and then about 7 more after that. All in about 40 minutes. I absolutely loved it but I proved to myself that cleaning them wasn't as easy as I thought. I stumbled through it but any advice would be appreciated!
I used a cheap looking jig that I got as a promotional offer for buying a certain fishing magazine some time ago but it seems to have done the trick so I'll be hanging on to it for sure now.
I'm looking forward to getting back down there now!
