Not sure if we will make it over the weekend but we're gonna try. If we do we probably won't be bringing the whole generator/lights set up. We will be there for Tues->wed, and wed->thurs. My bet is that willbe the big push. Of course if the word is hot over the weekend we may just have to pak evrything and (blow off the seder) and come on down.

Nothing to report for Wed. night. However, lots of tiny shrimp and baby minnows present. I'm going to give it another go Friday. See you all out there.

Mino, I 've never found Yozuri's for less than 5.99 which is what Benny's sells them for. ilikefishing.com lists lots of very cheap jigs but when I tried to order 2 weeks ago they had nothing in stock. I did score a dozen cheap jigs at the nesaltwater show the first weekend in april from a no name vendor - not a regular tackle store with a name and address I could give you.

I have a sneaky suspicion the squid will begin running tonight or tomorrow night. Weather in CT has been in the 70s all week topping out over 80 today. Full moon is monday as well. I'd say by tuesday they'll be moving in.
Of course I live in a demented fantasy world where I get to fish everyday alongside bikini clad women, so don't take my word for it. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

I thought i recognized you, but I thought that was hell. Should I fish, should I f ?
Other than that, I agree with your observations and predicitons. I'm trying to round up another generator now; this Am my genrator buddy claimed he has too much work and family obligations or some such BS.

I didn't get a chance to go check it out last night - I found out I had to work this morning. I am almost certain I will be heading down fri, sat, or sun night though. Did anyone get a chance to head out to the bridge last night?
Question for the generator experts: I found one, about 1000 watts for around $150. It sounds like a good deal to me. Does anyone know where to get a better deal on them?

That's a good deal if it runs, actually puts out 1000w (enuf for 2 500 watt shop lites) has at least 2 outlets (and not too loud for the nbrhd). If its real loud you could build a vented box with wheels to move it around and run it in.

Somerville,
What brand is it? Usually a generator for around that much is a two-stroke and takes a 50/50 mix. Not a bad price, but, they tend to be loud. The more popolar generators are the inverter style like the honda and yamaha. These guys are compact and extremly quiet. However you would have to dish out around $300 used and $500-600 new.
If you decide to get a two-stroke be sure to bring extra lengths of extension cord. Or else, you wont be able to hear the person next to you.
Sincerely,
Tatonka

I'm thinking that by next weekend the run should be in full swing . If anyones heading down to the bridge I would like to meet up with some of you guys and introduce myself. I don't have a gen or anything like that just a crappy coleman lantern.
Anthony
Also I'm in medford, mass. and have no problem car pooling along the way if anyone needs a ride.

I bought a nice, brand new 1200 watt 4 stroke generator at the boat show in Worchester recently for $156.00 (approx. $161.00 with Mass. tax) with a 1 yr warranty and free delivery to R.I. and probably Mass.
The generator has a handle on top which makes it fairly easy to carry (weighs about 50 lbs.). I haven't started it up yet but the rep told me the noise level is only 52 db.
I called him and told him we are a "group" and he said he will sell it to you guys for the same price. Anybody interested?
