Aww thats to bad. Thanks for the update Mopar. Hopefully everyone keeps us informed. I went Sunday. Kind of far out. I thought I had bites but I guess not. Nothing caught. But weather is getting better. I hope we will be seeing them Saturday!
If the weather goes according to forecast, the water should be warming up quickly

Water temp over 47 yesterday from 3Pm thru 3AM this morning with a couple peaks at 48. Jellyfish are already in Buzzards Bay; and as FP said if the 4cast comes thru as ordered (with overnite temps over 45) the water will be warming up fast. Got your gear ready to throw in the car? started your generators? Checked your lights?

I might be game. I need to wait and see what the sea states are for the Bank, I want to do some ground fishing, weather permitting. If not, it would be nice to jig for a while and have a few coldies. Are you going saturday or sunday night?

Travis, I am thinking of Saturday afternoon, just want to test the water and the new jigs. It may be a bit early, but I just want to get out there.
I plan giving it a shot tonight or Thursday night and probably a all-nighter Friday or Sat. depending on reports.
Current conditions are ALMOST ideal for <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/images2.jpg' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

Just taking a quick look at the tide charts, i'm gonna venture a guess and say that Thurs/Fri/Sat April 24-26 will be excellent squidding nights <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boat.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

I don't have work on Friday, so I might make a trip to the bridge tomorrow night and try my luck. I think i'm still a bit early, but i'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll be sure to let you all know if I get any bites.
Tatonka, if you plan on heading down tonight, let us know what you find. Thanks!

Mino. Your dates is so wrong. The second week of may is late. The last week of april is about right. Maybe earlier this year.

I have noticed that the trees are in full bloom when the squid are around.
(all trees flower by the way)
With climate change and changes in the convection in the gulf stream there may be flaws in correlating the two, but I invite you to see for yourself.

Worst thing in the world would be to wait until the secind week in May just to find out they were running the last week in April. Better to spend a few fruitless nights hanging out with the rest of us nuts and be sure you're there when the squid are.
