yeah i'm going to try my best to make it up there this weekend... depending on the weather... i'm keeping my eyes on channel 12 news... they're more optimistic than channel 10... if i go i'll be the guy with the yellow rain jacket or black bubble jacket.
Not quite the same, but, worth a try. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> we'll set something up.

Cheers,

Tat.
I would go for it if I lived on the water or close enough. what size bulb did it have? hehe, I have the genny already. My next major question would be...........visibility.....new england water is nothing like tropical waters.

I've tried emailing them twice about the specs w/o a reply. Maybe you'll have better luck. To me, it looks like a new avenue for squidding. I've never seen bottom light used before. HAVE you Glen??????
poagies are already in the upper bay and 30+ inch are being caught...but not by me...I am focused on the elusive squid!!!
30+ inch Pogies? Really?
Hey,

I am new to this forum, any information on how to use this program quickly will be appreciated. I did check out Goat Island last Tuesday 04/22/08, seen some small squid but no luck! Has anyone caught any this year?
Hi Joe, check out the "getting started guide" - http://www.squidfish.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1641

Hi Tatonka - No I have never seen them in use but it might be worth a shot <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />
I make my own wooden striper plugs and love to fish for squid so I made some squid jigs tell me what you think.

Impressive....Those look great. I would be interested in your striper plugs. Let me know how they work out. You may just have a great 'idear' on your hands. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' /> (Custon rigs= squid fortune <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> )

Spawle, Dave, Tatonka....doesn't look like I will be down this weekend. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

I will wait until the run is in full swing before I make the trip down again, I need to get bait, so I will not be looking for a dozen or two....I need to fill a bucket.
DIdn't do well the first three outings. I have to believe that the squid will start hitting in greater numbers. The season is so short and we want to take advantage of every opportunity to squid. Suzysqid and I will be there tonight, tomorrow and Saturday (Sunday ??).

It's a three hour round trip but worth it. I'll let evryone know how we do. The weather looks like 50% chance of showers the next several days. That is better than Monday's rain storm. It was absolutly horrible but I still managed to squid for three hours with 0 squid.

I'm due to fill a bucket.

good idea in spraying on all 3 favorite squid colors =]
Struck out last night, again... <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Fished from 8-11pm, the wall was loaded with people when we arrived and all but empty when we left.

Saw approximately 3 squid caught (none by me)... saw schoolies and tinker macs around my light.

This years run is just strange to me. I can't believe w/ the amount of hours people have logged on the causeway, that we haven't had a single report of a full bucket at the least. I really hope they move in strong this weekend.

Again, any CT people (i'm in new britain) that would like to go up saturday and carpool, let me know asap and we can figure it all out.

Did anyone try Wed during the day?
Hello everyone.

I have been lurking for a bit now and am impressed with how well this forum has been shaping up.

I know a few of the guys here from other forums and wonder how many of you I have jigged with or by without even knowing it.

I will be down at the GI location this Friday night. There should be a decent amount of us from another forum there as well. I am bring my generator and 2000 watts of light. yeehawwww. Let the 2008 season begin.

That being said, I drafted up a little MS Word document you can edit to identify yourself, if you so choose. I will have mine, laminated, near me and would welcome anyone saying HI from the site.

Remember, pick up your trash and that of others. No debate, just do it. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

See you on Friday night.

I like it, now I just need a color printer.
I’m writing a little note to all squid fishing lover. I have been keeping this note for 16 years. I don’t claim this is true in anyway, this is my personal record, take it as is.

Base on Lunar calendar, there’s a full moon every month and high tide (Water level is higher) twice a month. The high tide happen to be on the 15 and 30 of lunar calendar, Base on the note I keep, Squid usually went with this high tide. Today is the 27 of March 2008 (go figure). If history hold this weekend will be a hit. Once again, this is my personal record. Don’t hold me accountable for it …. By the way, I’m one of the Asian guy. (good luck finding me)
