Saltwater Creek, NSW
#1
Hi guys.

I went to Saltwater Creek during the Easter.

My friend and I went into the Lagoon and it seemed like fishes were trapped in there. They did not have any where to go and there were no predators.

As a results, they were quite a good size fishes.

My friend caught Mullet that was as big as 60cm. I caught few Breams and Parrot Fish that were about 35 to 40 cm.

Saltwater creek is about 25 to 30 mins south and into the dirt road from Eden in NSW.

Hi Joe,

I am from Victoria so I don't know the NSW regulations that well but I suspect that you cannot go spearfishing in that coastal lagoon. Best to check with the local fisheries office to be sure.

Hi Glen,

Yeh we had a read on the NSW fishery book and it was ok as long as it was 30 meters away from the beach.

It was very isolated lagoon and it was 30 meters away from the beach.

It was good fun. Rangers were there as well and they didnt say anything. That kind of got me to confirm it was good to spear.

Had a good time.
