Robins Island Squid?

just found this site via squidjigs.com,ive done pretty good at captree last year squidding and now im hooked,im from long island and keep my boat in the peconic.looking to bring the boat out to greenport this spring for squid at nite im wondering if i need to go that far maybe just to robins island?wondering if anybody has tried there?also went out monday nite to captree pier and no squid yet water was very dirty and moving way fast.....



man i can hardly wait to do some frying.mmmmm

CAPTREE? Really! I never would have thought to try fishing for squid anyother place than the North Shore. I am new to squid fishing so I didn't know that they like sandy bottoms? When is a good time to fish for squid at Captree?

last year i caught 7 of them on 4/30..i went last nite and water was dirty lots of weed no luck ..but there was sandeels,and bunker around so maybe any day now
