[quote name='salmon-king' post='12822' date='Oct 16 2008, 09:17 AM']I have not seen the gar squid Jig's, but if I can add a
request on this thread,...
I'm also looking for a type of jig I have not seen in years.
This jig had a long thin groove along the back, in which you
can tie a thin strip of fish flesh (like mullet).
Cheers,

Hi Dave,
I have not seen those with a groove on the back. Generally I think those are usually bodies for cloth covered jigs, and if cloth or other items are not used, then the grooves can be left open. I have one jig size 3.0, clear body pink back. It has a groove along the belly, as well as one larger cavity in the belly, that you should be able to tie a piece of fish.
Try Haverfords in Sydney 02 9588 1777. I bought one of those garfish jigs off them quite some time ago but it does'nt seem to work here in WA. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
