Port Welshpool / Walkerville, Vic

Hello All,



Has anybody heard about the squidding down near port welshpool or further around at Walkerville? I appreciate any feedback thanks everyone

No reports from me I am new to the area but I really want to try it out



Have you had any luck there or in the nearby areas ?



I am now living in Cowwarr after moving from Queensland.

Only help I can be is there are some big squid around port welshpool boat ramp under the light and some more big ones around the t bar jetty

On the right side

But yeah can't spear fish near jetty so doesn't really help

I do know no iv been out in the boat there and catch (rod and reel) big flatty like really big but

You post reminded me of spearing near a jetty in NSW many many years ago



I speared a nice sized Mowong only to have a huge cuttlefish shoot out from a cave grab the fish and shoot back into the cave



I had to leave my spear and come to the surface because i was laughing with surprise !!!



I decided I had enough to share so he got that one and I got my spear back
