First Time Squid Fishing
#1
Hey guys I just started fishing a year ago and decided to make it a hobby. I'm trying to learn how to fish for everything sort of. Currently I'm working on squid fishing. I have never tried it before and been reading threads and post to learn. I'm new so please forgive my term usage or newbie questions.

First off I went and bought a Squid jig. Second I don't have a boat so I tend to fish from peers and what not. I fish in the tiverton area all the way down to sakonnet point. So my first question is are there any of places along this area that I should be at for squid fishing. I thought I saw someone post that sakonnet point was one. I'm familiar with the area but confuse about where to cast. Are you guys casting off into open water from the rocks or next to the docks? Also is the jig just being reeled along the surface of the water or is there a certain technique I should be using.

Thanks for the help.

Ps. expect more newbie questions from me =D
